Specialist Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon
Mr Brown is an internationally fellowship-trained orthopaedic knee surgeon. Originally from Belfast, he studied medicine at the University of Glasgow, graduating in 2011. He completed orthopaedic training in the West of Scotland and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2020.
Following this, he relocated to Australia where he undertook two specialist fellowships: one in orthopaedic trauma surgery and another in all aspects of knee surgery under the guidance of Professor Julian Feller in Melbourne.
Since returning to the UK in 2023, Mr Brown has been appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, and also sees patients privately at the Nuffield Hospital, Glasgow.
His practice is dedicated to the treatment of knee conditions. He has a particular interest in ligament injuries (including ACL reconstruction), keyhole (arthroscopic) surgery, sports injuries, robotic-assisted joint replacement, patellofemoral (kneecap) problems, and joint preservation techniques.
Outside of work, Mr Brown enjoys spending time with his young family. He is a keen sportsman and regularly takes part in running, swimming, and cycling.
